SEEMS SOLID
These photographs track nature and a concrete sculpture by Andew Goss responding in an almost animate way to snow, rain, heat, petals from it's neighbouring juneberry and visits from animals and birds.
At times looking like the concrete boat/leaf shape it is, at times blending with forms of water, and sometimes invisible, it drew me again and again.
This is what I saw from my dining room over a period of a year. I did this series as a way of teaching myself to observe. I chose a concrete sculpture because it is steady, solid and always present. I was amazed and delighted by the extreme variety I found. Even so I seem to have missed autumn.
