Sandra Noble Goss: Fossil Memories
Art at the Roxy Gallery, March 29 to April 26, 2000.
Roxy Gallery
251 9th Street East, Owen Sound, Ontario
Known as a jeweller, Sandra is now making prints from the etched metal plates she incorporates into her jewellery. This recent exhibit brings prints and jewellery together in an exploration of the fossils of Big Bay beaches and memory. These concepts are explored through prints, both paper and metal, and etched and married metal jewellery. In some pieces the etching provides the plate for the print while in others it becomes the finished piece. Sandra is looking at both collective and personal memory and forgotten memory with etched portraits of stones and family.
